Development

After speaking with the group last week we decided that we liked my idea of a nature theme. The idea of combining it with human technology will not be used as it would be too hard to convey a sense of purpose in our exhibition.

We will be using the nature theme along side Mike's theme of glass, producing a mosaic type way of showing the work.

Some ideas talked about in the lesson include buying artificial leaves to scatter around the ground to give off the nature feel to the room. We will also try to spread the work out around the room in different places. For example I thought of the idea of tying the work to the ceiling by wire, then wrapping the wire in artificial leaves and other materials, it will look like vines coming from the ceiling.

Obviously we can't use real leaves and natural materials as they would rot and make the room dirty. One way around this is by using artificial man made leaves, tree and vines. Here are some examples.

Artificial Tree we could look into using:

Another idea was to used different colour card on the walls in different areas, for example the floor would be green and brown, then higher up the wall would be a different shade of lighter green then it near the top would be blue, and then the very top yellow. This would show the development of a scene; brown and green to represent the grass and mud, light green to represent bushes and trees, and the blue and yellow to represent the sky and the sun.
